CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Alliance College Alumni Association, thru its 501(c)(3) Foundation (ACAAF), is honored to announce the selection of Ray Kman as the recipient of its annual $1500 scholarship.

A freshman attending University of Notre Dame, Kman is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree majoring in electrical engineering.

3-year varsity letter winner in softball, a 2-year letter winner in Marching and Concert band and an active member of the Student Council. Carone is also a student at Fairgrieve School of Dance where she studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical.

Though a short experience thus far at the University of Notre Dame, Kman has joined numerous clubs and is already an active member in the First Year Engineering Council, responsible for planning various events for his fellow Notre Dame engineers. Kman is also currently in the application process for studying abroad this summer in either Spain or Ireland for an intensive six weeks of coursework.

A native of Richfield, Ohio, Kman continues to pursue his interests of hydroponics and sustainability by staying involved with the local community through various workshops. Always an active student at Saint Ignatius High School, he is committed to stay in contact with current students offering advice and help as they begin the college decision-making process. After taking part in a microbiology internship this past summer at Market Garden Brewery, Kman will continue to discern different fields within engineering.

Post-graduation, Kman plans to pursue a career within the field of engineering and continuing his education in order to earn an MBA.

Kman is the son of Edward and Namie, and has an incredible family history with the college. His great grandfather, grandfather and two great uncles are all Alliance College graduates!
